adidas is giving back to the community of Spartanburg for their support over the years

Three completely refurbished & redesigned Northside courts are only the beginning

Spartanburg, SC adidas understands the value of gratitude and knows that supporting strong, active people builds happy communities. The company motto is: Through Sport, We Have The Power To Change Lives, leading adidas to update the three basketball courts at the Piedmont Interstate Fairgrounds in Spartanburg, SC.

The courts are located only a block from Cleveland Academy of Leadership Elementary and the T.K. Gregg Community Center that sees over 200 visitors a day. With full-court lighting, the kids and adults of the Northside community will have countless chances to get out and play, from sunrise to well after sunset.

The adidas distribution center and its host of Spartanburg employees have played a key role in creating the thriving Hub City. adidas is excited to give back to the nearly 40,000 Spartanburg residents, a community that has welcomed them in and continually gives the global brand so much of their time and talent.  

Special Dedication Event

On May 25th, at the fairgrounds, adidas is hosting a free community event and court dedication called Celebration of Sport with food, games, and entertainment from 12pm-3pm. Youth skills challenges will be played from 10am-3pm. The event will allow adidas to thank the people of Spartanburg all at once with an amenity-packed introduction to their refurbished outdoor facilities.

adidas would like to thank local partners, Bannan Blasko, Councilwoman Erica Brown, and the City of Spartanburg for their help organizing the Celebration of Sport and refurbishing the Fairground courts.
